Shipping & returns for store orders

How delivery and returns work for physical products bought from AutonomyLabs on Amazon.co.za or Bob Shop. Last updated 27 September 2026.

In short: we ship from South Africa, usually within about 3 business days of your order. Returns and refunds are handled through the marketplace you bought on, following its return policy and your rights under the Consumer Protection Act and ECT Act.

1. Where this applies

This page applies to physical products sold by Ubuhlakani Labs (Pty) Ltd t/a AutonomyLabs as a seller on Amazon.co.za and Bob Shop. When you buy on a marketplace, that marketplace's conditions of use, buyer protection and return rules also apply. Returns and refunds follow the marketplace's process, and your statutory rights always apply.

2. Dispatch and delivery

  • Orders ship from South Africa. We aim to dispatch within about 3 business days of your order (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).
  • Delivery times and costs are shown on the marketplace listing and at checkout before you pay.
  • Tracking details are in your marketplace account once the order has shipped.
  • Personalised or engraved items may take longer to make. Any extra time is shown on the listing.
  • If we can't supply an item you ordered, we'll cancel the order through the marketplace and you'll be refunded in full.

3. Returns and refunds

Start a return from your order in your Amazon.co.za or Bob Shop account, following that marketplace's return policy and time limits. You can also email us at naidoorn@autonomylab.co.za with your order number.

Changed your mind

Under section 44 of the ECT Act, consumers may cancel an online purchase within 7 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. The only cost you may be charged is the direct cost of returning the goods, and your refund is paid within 30 days. The marketplace's return policy may give you longer. Please return items unused and, where possible, in their original packaging.

Faulty, damaged or wrong items

Under sections 55 and 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, goods must be of good quality, work as they should and be free of defects. If an item is defective within 6 months of delivery, you may return it and choose a repair, a replacement or a refund, unless the defect was caused by misuse. If you receive a damaged or wrong item, contact us through the marketplace or by email as soon as possible, with photos if you can.

Items that can't be returned for change of mind

The ECT Act cooling-off right does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (for example engraved gifts). For hygiene reasons, human-hair wigs and weaves can be returned for change of mind only if unopened, unworn and with seals and packaging intact. These items are still covered if they are faulty or not as described.

4. Complaints

If a problem isn't resolved through the marketplace or with us by email, you may contact the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) or the National Consumer Commission. Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the ECT Act.
